Virgin Mobile released solid earnings for the 1st quarter of 2008, and the company showed quite straight performance in this bumpy environment. Also, they are in talks with STK telecom on a possible buy-out of the company. In Macroeconomic news, the energy prices are hitting records day after day, and VM has low energy cost as it focuses on wireless connections. Furthermore, the communication and tech industry are the least hit by the Subprime crisis, as well as consumers goods and food.

High oil means solar is a more viable energy source. Good trailing and forward P/E compared to competition. Large companies are expecting major growth in sales but price of their stock might already account for that. P.S. I have a solar powered calculator and it works great!
